Shift Information

  • 5 Firefighters on duty for 24 hours, with a minimum of 4 Firefighters on duty

Facts About The Department

  • We provide Fire Protection and Emergency Medical Services to a population of approximately 16,000 people in an area of 10.5 square miles.
  • Emergency medical calls account for approximately 82% of our total call volume.
  • In 2022, we responded to 2,047 emergency calls for service, of which 1,627 were emergency medical requests, 325 were responses for fire-related emergencies and motor vehicle accidents, and 95 were for miscellaneous requests for service.
  • The Fire Department is comprised of 16 full-time firefighters who fill three shifts of a minimum of 4 firefighters each.
  • All firefighters also serve a dual role as paramedics. We offer the highest level of pre-hospital care and carry state-of-the-art equipment.
  • Our average response time is under 6 minutes, 24 hours a day, and 7 days a week.
